Acetone Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
Acetone is the simplest and most widely used ketone solvent in industry — a clear, colourless, highly volatile liquid that is fully miscible with water and with most organic solvents. Its fast evaporation, low residue and broad solvency make it the default choice for cleaning, thinning, extraction and degreasing. PAU Chemicals supplies Acetone at 99.5% minimum purity, with 99.8% high-purity and low-water grades available for pharmaceutical, extraction and electronics use. Every batch is tested for permanganate time, water content and non-volatile residue — the three parameters that most often cause downstream failures. Whether you are an importer, distributor, trading house or end-user, we offer stable supply with complete export documentation and full dangerous goods handling for sea freight. Acetone is highly volatile and hygroscopic. Keep drums sealed and stored below 30 °C in a shaded, ventilated area — open or poorly sealed containers lose material quickly and absorb atmospheric moisture.PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Acetone (99.5% min), serving coatings, pharmaceutical, extraction and industrial cleaning buyers with export-ready documentation and bulk availability.

What is Acetone, and what else is it called?
It is the simplest ketone solvent, known chemically as propanone, 2-propanone or dimethyl ketone. Most buyers recognise it as the active ingredient in nail polish remover and as the fast-drying thinner used in paint and polish work.
What is Acetone used for?
Thinning paints, lacquers and printing inks; degreasing metal, PCB and optical parts; dissolving adhesives and resins; cosmetics and nail products; reaction and crystallisation work in pharmaceuticals; and extraction of spice oleoresins and edible oils.
What purity do you supply, and why does permanganate time matter?
99.5% technical grade as standard, with 99.8% high-purity available. Permanganate time (120 minutes min) measures trace reducible impurities that can discolour a product or disturb sensitive reactions, so it is tested on every batch.
Is it safe to handle, and how should it be stored?
It is highly flammable, with a flash point of −20 °C. Use good ventilation, flame-proof electricals and non-sparking tools, and earth and bond containers during transfer. Store sealed below 30 °C in a shaded, ventilated area.
Can Acetone be used in food processing?
It is not a food ingredient. It is used as a processing aid and extraction solvent — for example in spice oleoresin and edible oil work — and is removed to within regulated residual solvent limits. Confirm the applicable rule in your market before use.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
160 kg MS drums (200 L), 20 kg and 30 kg carboys, and ISO tanks for bulk. Export MOQ is 1 FCL; a 20' FCL typically loads 80 drums, around 12.8 MT.
Can I get a sample and COA, and what are your payment terms?
Batch-wise COA and MSDS are provided on request, and samples can be arranged for laboratory evaluation before a commercial order. Payment is by advance TT or irrevocable LC at sight.
How is export and DG shipping handled, and does it affect delivery time?
We load from Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms. Acetone ships as UN 1090, Class 3, so we arrange UN-approved packing, IMO labelling and the DG declaration; DG sailing slots are limited, so allow extra lead time. Import licensing at the destination remains the buyer's responsibility.
