Hydrogen Peroxide 50% Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Hydrogen Peroxide 50%, for textile, paper, effluent treatment and chemical processing buyers worldwide.
Hydrogen Peroxide 50% is the standard industrial concentration for bleaching and oxidation work. Its commercial advantage over chlorine-based oxidisers is that it decomposes into water and oxygen, leaving no chlorinated residue in effluent.
PAU Chemicals supplies stabilised 50% material in vented HDPE drums and IBCs, with assay, stability and free acid documented on every batch.
Peroxide decomposition is catalysed by metal ions, particularly iron and copper. Contamination of a storage tank with rust or metal dust will trigger runaway decomposition, so dedicate storage and transfer lines to this product alone.

What is Hydrogen Peroxide 50%, and what is it called locally?
It is a 50% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, called H₂O₂ or simply peroxide in trade. 50% is the standard industrial strength.
What is it used for?
Textile and paper bleaching, effluent oxidation, cyanide and sulphide destruction, chemical synthesis, metal treatment and cooling water disinfection.
Why choose it over chlorine bleaching?
It decomposes into water and oxygen, so there is no chlorinated residue in the effluent. That matters increasingly where discharge standards are tightening.
Can I use this grade for food or aseptic packaging?
No. Food-contact applications require food grade with FCC-permitted stabilisers. Technical grade must never be used for aseptic packaging or food sanitation.
Why does it lose strength in storage?
Decomposition is catalysed by heat and by metal ions such as iron and copper. Dedicate clean storage and transfer lines to this product, keep it below 30 °C, and rotate stock.
Is it hazardous to handle?
Yes. At 50% it is a strong oxidiser (UN 2014, Class 5.1 with corrosive subsidiary risk) causing severe burns. It also ignites combustible material on contact. Full PPE and dedicated equipment are essential.
Why must containers be vented?
Continuous slow decomposition generates oxygen. A sealed container pressurises and can rupture, so vented closures are mandatory.
How is DG shipping handled, and does it affect delivery time?
It ships as UN 2014, Class 5.1. We arrange UN-approved vented packing, IMO labelling and DG vessel booking. Oxidiser slots are limited, so allow additional lead time.
