Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylate Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates across the 7EO to 30EO range, for detergent, textile, agrochemical and industrial cleaning formulators.
Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates are nonionic surfactants made by reacting fatty alcohol with ethylene oxide. The number of ethylene oxide units — the EO number — sets the HLB, and therefore whether the product wets, emulsifies, detergises or solubilises.
PAU Chemicals supplies the working range from 7EO through 30EO, so you can select on HLB and cloud point rather than compromising with whichever grade happens to be available.
Select on cloud point, not just EO number. A surfactant used above its cloud point loses solubility and effectiveness — which is the usual reason a detergent that works in the lab fails in a hot wash.Technical Specifications

What are Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates, and what are they called locally?
They are nonionic surfactants made from fatty alcohol and ethylene oxide, usually called AEO, FAE or simply ethoxylates, with the EO number attached — AEO-7, AEO-9 and so on.
What is it used for?
Detergents, dishwash and hard-surface cleaners, textile scouring and dyeing, agrochemical emulsifiers, emulsion polymerisation and metal degreasing.
What does the EO number mean?
It is the number of ethylene oxide units added. Lower EO grades are more oil-loving and better at wetting; higher EO grades are more water-loving and better at solubilising.
Which grade should I choose?
Match the HLB and cloud point to your system. 7EO and 9EO suit wetting and detergency, 12EO to 20EO suit emulsification, and 25EO and above suit solubilising.
Why does cloud point matter?
Above its cloud point the surfactant loses solubility and performance. If your process runs hot, choose a grade with a cloud point comfortably above the working temperature.
How should they be stored, and what is the shelf life?
Sealed, cool and dry. Higher EO grades solidify in cold storage and need gentle warming before use. Around 12 months.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
200/220 kg drums and 1,000 kg IBCs. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, shipping as general cargo.
