Ethyl Acetate Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Ethyl Acetate at 99.5% minimum purity, for printing ink, coatings, adhesive, pharmaceutical and flavour buyers worldwide.
Ethyl Acetate is the workhorse ester solvent of the printing and coatings industries — fast-evaporating, low in toxicity relative to alternatives, and carrying a mild fruity odour rather than a harsh one. That last point is why it dominates flexible packaging inks.
PAU Chemicals supplies 99.5% minimum material with controlled acidity and water content, plus low-water and high-purity grades for pharmaceutical extraction and flavour work.
Water content is the parameter to watch. Above specification it causes hazing in lacquers and hydrolysis back to acetic acid and ethanol over time, which shows up as rising acidity in stored material.Technical Specifications

What is Ethyl Acetate, and what is it called locally?
It is the ethyl ester of acetic acid, known in trade simply as ethyl acetate or EA. It is recognisable by its mild, fruity, nail-polish-like smell.
What is it used for?
Printing inks, lacquers and wood coatings, adhesives and laminating, pharmaceutical extraction, nail polish, artificial leather, and as a flavour extraction solvent.
Why is it preferred for packaging inks?
It evaporates fast, dissolves nitrocellulose and most resins well, and has a mild odour with lower toxicity than many alternatives — which matters for food packaging.
Why does water content matter?
Water causes hazing in lacquers and gradually hydrolyses the ester back to acetic acid and ethanol, raising acidity in storage. We hold it below 0.1% and report it per batch.
Is it safe to handle?
It is highly flammable (UN 1173, Class 3, flash point −4 °C). Use good ventilation, flame-proof electricals and earthed containers, and read the MSDS before handling.
How should it be stored, and what is the shelf life?
Sealed drums in a cool, ventilated, flame-proof store away from heat, sparks and oxidisers. Keep containers tightly closed to limit evaporation and moisture pickup.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
180 kg MS drums, carboys and ISO tanks. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
It ships as UN 1173, Class 3. We arrange UN-approved packing, IMO labelling and the DG declaration; DG sailing slots are limited, so allow extra lead time.
