Bio Acetic Acid Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Bio Acetic Acid — glacial-grade acetic acid produced from renewable feedstock, for buyers building clean-label and lower-carbon product lines.
Bio Acetic Acid is chemically identical to conventional glacial acetic acid. The difference is origin: it is produced from renewable feedstock such as sugarcane-derived ethanol rather than from petrochemical routes.
For the buyer this matters in two places — clean-label positioning in food and personal care, and Scope 3 carbon reporting for brands with published emissions targets. The specification, handling and performance are unchanged.
PAU Chemicals supplies Bio Acetic Acid at 99.5% minimum purity with bio-based carbon content verifiable by ASTM D6866 radiocarbon testing, so your claim is supported by data rather than assertion.
Pro Tip: If you intend to make a renewable or bio-based claim on pack, ask for the ASTM D6866 bio-based carbon report alongside the COA. Chain-of-custody certification such as ISCC PLUS should be confirmed separately.Technical Specifications

What is Bio Acetic Acid, and how does it differ from ordinary acetic acid?
Chemically it is the same molecule at the same 99.5%+ purity. The difference is that it is produced from renewable feedstock rather than petrochemical routes, so it carries bio-based carbon content.
What is it used for?
Everywhere conventional acetic acid is used — vinegar, pickling, sauces, preservatives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and textiles — but chosen where a renewable-origin or clean-label position matters.
Does it perform differently in my formulation?
No. Specification, handling, dilution behaviour and shelf life are the same as conventional glacial acetic acid, so it drops into an existing process without reformulation.
How is bio-based content proved?
By ASTM D6866 radiocarbon testing, which measures the renewable carbon fraction directly. We supply the report alongside the batch COA so any on-pack claim is evidence-backed.
Can I label my product as natural or bio-based?
Labelling rules differ by market and by claim. The test report and documentation support the claim, but the wording permitted on pack must be confirmed against your destination market's food and labelling regulations.
How should it be stored, and is it hazardous?
Store sealed in a cool, dry place above 17 °C. It is corrosive (UN 2789, Class 8) exactly like conventional glacial acetic acid — use gloves, goggles and an apron and read the MSDS.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
35 kg carboys, 250 kg drums and ISO tanks for bulk. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
We load from Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, with full DG documentation included.
