Acid Slurry 90% (LABSA) Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
Searching for a dependable Acid Slurry 90% supplier or exporter? You are exactly where you need to be.
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Acid Slurry 90% (LABSA), the primary anionic surfactant used in detergent powders, cakes and liquid cleaners worldwide.
Acid Slurry 90%, known technically as Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA), is the workhorse surfactant of the detergent industry. On neutralisation with caustic soda or soda ash it forms the active cleaning system in washing powders, detergent cakes, dishwash liquids and industrial cleaners.
PAU Chemicals supplies Acid Slurry at 90% minimum active matter with tightly controlled free oil and residual sulphuric acid — the two parameters that decide foam quality, colour and shelf stability in the finished detergent.
Low Klett colour keeps white powders white and liquids clear, batch after batch, which matters to any manufacturer running a branded line.
Acetone is highly volatile and hygroscopic. Keep drums sealed and stored below 30 °C in a shaded, ventilated area — open or poorly sealed containers lose material quickly and absorb atmospheric moisture.

What is Acid Slurry, and what is it called locally?
Acid Slurry and LABSA are the same product — Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid. Indian trade calls it acid slurry, detergent acid or simply slurry; 90% is the standard commercial grade.
What is Acid Slurry used for?
It is the primary surfactant in detergent powders, cakes, dishwash and laundry liquids. It is also used in textile scouring, emulsion polymerisation, agrochemical emulsifiers and industrial cleaners.
How is it converted into detergent?
It is neutralised with caustic soda or soda ash to form the sodium salt, which is the active cleaning agent. Neutralisation is exothermic, so temperature and dosing rate must be controlled.
Why does free oil matter?
Free oil above 2% leaves an oily film, causes odour and yellows the finished product over time. We hold it below 2% and report it on every batch COA.
How should it be stored, and what is the shelf life?
Store in a cool, shaded place below 30 °C, away from alkalis and oxidising agents. Around six months in original sealed packing; colour naturally darkens with age without materially affecting active matter.
Is it hazardous to handle?
Yes. It is corrosive (UN 2586, Class 8) and burns skin and eyes. Use goggles, gloves and an apron, and when diluting always add acid to water — never water to acid.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
35 kg carboys, 225/230 kg drums, IBCs and road tankers. Export MOQ is 1 FCL, with packing confirmed on the proforma invoice.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
We load from Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, with full DG documentation included.
