Glycerine 99.7% Food Grade Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Food Grade Glycerine at 99.7% (E422), for bakery, confectionery, beverage and nutrition manufacturers worldwide.
Food Grade Glycerine is the industry's standard humectant — it holds moisture in a product, softens texture, lowers water activity and adds mild sweetness without fermenting. In soft-baked goods it is often what separates a two-week shelf life from a two-month one.
PAU Chemicals supplies FCC and E422 compliant material at 99.7%, vegetable origin, with the heavy metal and DEG/EG documentation food manufacturers are required to hold.
Glycerine lowers water activity as well as adding moisture, which is a preservation effect in its own right. Reformulating with it often lets you cut preservative levels rather than simply adding cost.

What is Food Grade Glycerine, and what is it called locally?
It is refined vegetable glycerine meeting FCC requirements, listed as food additive E422 and often called glycerol or vegetable glycerine (VG).
What is it used for?
As a humectant and texture agent in soft-baked goods, protein bars, confectionery, dried fruit, chewing gum, beverages and flavour systems.
How does it extend shelf life?
It binds water and lowers water activity, which slows both staling and microbial growth. That often allows a reduction in added preservative rather than simply adding a cost.
Is it sweet, and does it add calories?
It is around 60% as sweet as sugar and does contribute calories, though it does not ferment and has a lower glycaemic impact than sucrose. Nutritional declaration rules differ by market.
What is the difference between food grade and CP grade?
Food grade meets FCC and E422 limits on heavy metals, arsenic and DEG/EG with the corresponding documentation. CP grade is technical material and must not be used in food.
Is it vegetable derived, and can you certify Halal or Kosher?
Material is vegetable origin, and Halal and Kosher certification can be arranged on request — confirm at the time of enquiry.
How should it be stored, and what is the shelf life?
In sealed containers in a cool, dry place. Glycerine is hygroscopic and absorbs atmospheric moisture, which lowers concentration — keep drums closed between uses.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
250 kg HDPE drums, 1,250 kg IBCs and ISO tanks for bulk. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, shipping as general cargo.
