Iso Propyl Alcohol (IPA) Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
Searching for a dependable Iso Propyl Alcohol supplier or exporter? You are exactly where you need to be.
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Iso Propyl Alcohol at 99.7% minimum, in technical, pharmacopoeial and electronic grades, for pharmaceutical, cleaning and electronics buyers.
Iso Propyl Alcohol is the most versatile alcohol solvent in industry — an effective disinfectant, a clean-evaporating cleaner, and a solvent for a wide range of resins, oils and organic compounds.
PAU Chemicals supplies 99.7% minimum material with controlled water and non-volatile residue, plus IP, BP and USP grades for pharmaceutical use and low-residue grades for electronics cleaning.
For disinfection, 70% is more effective than 99.7%, not less. The water content is what allows the alcohol to penetrate the cell wall — so dilute the high-purity material rather than using it neat for sanitising.

What is IPA, and what is it called locally?
It is Iso Propyl Alcohol, also called isopropanol, IPA or rubbing alcohol in its diluted consumer form.
What is it used for?
Hand sanitisers and disinfectants, pharmaceutical manufacture, electronics and optical cleaning, printing inks, cosmetics, automotive fluids and general degreasing.
Is 99.7% better than 70% for disinfection?
No — 70% is more effective. The water content lets the alcohol penetrate the cell wall, so high-purity material should be diluted for sanitising rather than used neat.
What grade do I need for electronics cleaning?
A low-residue or electronic grade with tightly controlled non-volatile matter. Ordinary technical grade can leave a film on precision surfaces.
Do you supply pharmacopoeial grade?
Yes, to IP, BP and USP, documented separately from technical and electronic grades.
Is it hazardous to handle?
Yes. It is highly flammable (UN 1219, Class 3, flash point 12 °C). Use good ventilation, flame-proof electricals and earthed containers, and read the MSDS.
Are there import restrictions on IPA?
Some jurisdictions apply controls or reporting requirements to alcohol solvents. Confirm your national import position before ordering; we prepare supporting export documentation as required.
How is DG shipping handled, and does it affect delivery time?
It ships as UN 1219, Class 3. We arrange UN-approved packing, IMO labelling and the DG declaration; DG sailing slots are limited, so allow extra lead time.
