Emulsifying Wax Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
Searching for a dependable Emulsifying Wax supplier or exporter? You are exactly where you need to be.
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Emulsifying Wax NF, the self-emulsifying base used in creams, lotions, ointments and hair conditioners worldwide.
Emulsifying Wax is a blended system of fatty alcohols and emulsifiers that does two jobs at once: it emulsifies the oil and water phases, and it builds the body and texture of the finished cream. For most formulators it is the single ingredient that turns a mixture into a product.
PAU Chemicals supplies NF-grade emulsifying wax in flake and pastille form, with acid value, saponification value and melting range documented on every batch.
Heat both phases to around 70–75 °C before combining, and keep stirring through the cool-down. Most failed emulsions come from combining phases at different temperatures or stopping agitation too early.

What is Emulsifying Wax, and what is it called locally?
It is a blend of fatty alcohols and emulsifiers, usually called emulsifying wax NF, e-wax or simply cream base by formulators.
What is it used for?
Making oil-in-water creams and lotions — face and body creams, hair conditioners, sunscreens, ointments and baby care products.
How much should I use?
Typically 3 to 8% of the formulation, depending on the oil phase level and the thickness you want. Higher levels give a heavier, richer cream.
How do I use it correctly?
Melt it into the oil phase, heat both phases to around 70–75 °C, combine at matched temperature and keep stirring through cool-down. Most emulsion failures trace back to mismatched phase temperatures.
Does it work for cold-process formulations?
It is designed for hot-process emulsification. Cold-process systems generally need a different emulsifier chemistry.
How should it be stored, and what is the shelf life?
Sealed, cool and dry below 30 °C, away from direct heat. It softens and blocks in hot storage.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
25 kg lined bags and jumbo bags. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, shipping as general cargo.
