Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) in liquid and spray-dried powder form, for municipal and industrial water treatment worldwide.
Poly Aluminium Chloride is the pre-hydrolysed coagulant that has displaced alum across much of the water treatment industry. It forms flocs faster, works over a wider pH range, and produces significantly less sludge for the same clarification result.
PAU Chemicals supplies liquid 10% and spray-dried powder 30% Al₂O₃ grades with basicity, alumina content and insolubles documented per batch.
PAC, ACH and alum are all aluminium coagulants but they are not interchangeable at the same dose. If you are switching, run jar tests first — PAC typically needs a lower dose than alum but a higher one than ACH.

What is PAC, and what is it called locally?
It is Poly Aluminium Chloride, a pre-hydrolysed aluminium coagulant, universally called PAC in the water treatment trade.
What is it used for?
Coagulation in drinking water and wastewater treatment, paper making, textile effluent, sugar refining, swimming pools and sludge conditioning.
How does PAC compare with alum?
PAC forms flocs faster, works across a wider pH range, consumes less alkalinity and produces less sludge. Cost per kilogram is higher but total treatment cost is usually lower.
What is the difference between PAC and ACH?
Both are pre-hydrolysed aluminium coagulants; ACH has higher basicity and alumina content, giving lower dosing and less sludge again, at a higher price. PAC is the mid-point between alum and ACH.
Should I use liquid or powder?
Liquid doses directly with no dissolution step. Powder cuts freight cost over distance and has longer shelf life, which matters for export destinations.
What dosage should I apply?
Set it by jar testing against your raw water. Do not carry a dose across from alum or ACH — the products are not interchangeable at the same rate.
How should it be stored, and what is the shelf life?
Liquid between 5 and 35 °C in HDPE or FRP tanks, never mild steel. Powder sealed and dry. Around 6 months for liquid, 12 for powder.
Which ports and Incoterms do you ship on, and how long does delivery take?
Hazira and Nhava Sheva on EXW, FOB, C&F and CIF terms, typically 3 to 4 weeks, shipping as general cargo. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
