Calcium Hypochlorite Supplier, Exporter & Global Wholesaler
Searching for a dependable Calcium Hypochlorite supplier or exporter? You are exactly where you need to be.
PAU Chemicals is an India-based global supplier and exporter of Calcium Hypochlorite at 65–70% available chlorine, in granular and tablet form, for water treatment and sanitation buyers worldwide.
Calcium Hypochlorite is a solid chlorine donor used to disinfect drinking water, swimming pools and wastewater. Its advantage over liquid bleach is stability: it holds strength in storage far longer and ships as a dry solid.
At 65–70% available chlorine it delivers roughly ten times the active chlorine of ordinary bleaching powder, which cuts dosing volume, storage space and freight cost per unit of disinfection.
PAU Chemicals supplies granules for dosing systems and 200 g or 1 kg tablets for feeders and floating dispensers, packed in sealed HDPE drums for safe sea transport.
Store it away from acids, ammonia, organic material and any other oxidiser, in a cool dry place. It is a strong oxidiser and contact with incompatible material can start a fire — never store it near fuel, cleaning chemicals or fertiliser.

What is Calcium Hypochlorite, and what is it called locally?
It is a solid chlorine compound used for disinfection, commonly sold as pool chlorine, chlorine granules or hypo. It is often confused with bleaching powder, which is a different, weaker product.
What is it used for?
Disinfecting swimming pools, drinking water and wastewater, sanitising food and dairy plants, controlling biofouling in cooling towers, and emergency water treatment.
How is it different from bleaching powder?
Bleaching powder typically carries around 33–35% available chlorine. Calcium hypochlorite at 65–70% is roughly twice as strong per kilogram and far more stable in storage, so dosing volumes and freight costs are lower.
How much should I dose?
Dosage depends on water volume, organic load and the residual chlorine you need to hold. Establish it by testing rather than by fixed rule, and monitor free residual chlorine continuously.
Is it hazardous to store and handle?
Yes. It is a strong oxidiser (UN 1748, Class 5.1). Keep it away from acids, ammonia, organic matter, fuel and other oxidisers — contact can cause fire. Store cool, dry and sealed, and read the MSDS before handling.
Why has my material lost strength?
Heat and humidity degrade available chlorine over time. Keep drums sealed in a cool, shaded store, and rotate stock on a first-in-first-out basis.
What packing sizes and minimum order quantity do you offer?
45 kg and 50 kg HDPE drums with sealed liners, in granules or tablets. Export MOQ is 1 FCL.
How is DG shipping handled, and does it affect delivery time?
It ships as UN 1748, Class 5.1, PG II. We arrange UN-approved packing, IMO labelling, the DG declaration and DG vessel booking. Oxidiser slots are limited, so allow additional lead time.
